Two rounds of Mr. and Miss National concludes in Kushma

By Our Correspondent,Kushma, Apr. 25: The talent and swimwear rounds of the ‘Mr. and Miss National Nepal 2024’ pageant have concluded in Kushma, the headquarters of the Prabhat, which is being developed as a new tourist destination.

The final 29 contestants, who were selected at various stages, participated in the competition.

 Likewise, the contestants showcased their talent in the talent round, which lasted for three hours. They presented their art in dance, singing, drama, poetry reading and other disciplines.

According to the organisers, the names of the top five contestants for women and top three contestants for men were announced from both rounds.

 On the women’s side, Priya Upadhyay, Sriyanka Thapa, Aditi Shrestha, Priyasha Devkota and Rajita Parajuli made it to the top five. 

On the men’s side, Sandesh Sitaula, Biplav Raj Naganahar and Manish Shrestha were selected among the top three.

According to the organiser, Dr. Santosh Upadhyay of the Sunurvi International, the Top Model Round and the Elegance Round will be held at the Patan Durbar Museum in Lalitpur.

 Upadhyaya said that the announcement of the competition will be made at the Nepal Academy in Kathmandu on May 1.

The final winners will receive a gift hamper worth Rs. 500,000 as well as media exposure, and they will represent Nepal at various international competitions, informed the organiser. 

 According to the organiser, Mr. and Miss Supra National Nepal represent Nepal in Poland, Mr. International Nepal in Thailand, Miss Globe Nepal in Albania and Miss Intercontinental Nepal in Egypt.

Dr. Santosh Upadhyay, the national organiser of Mr. and Miss National, expressed his happiness in holding the programme in Kushma outside the Kathmandu Valley for the first time. 

In the programme, the Mayor of Kushma Municipality, Ramchandra Joshi, said that such programmes have confirmed the potential in Kushma as well.

Chief District Officer of Parbat Prem Prasad Acharya, along with heads of security agencies, journalists, and representatives of various organisations, participated in the programme.
