Mugu Murder Update: Police at crime scene with trained dog

By Hari Krishna Aidi, Mugu, Oct.28: A trained dog has been mobilized by Nepal Police in order to conduct the murder investigation of the death of four members of a family at Mundugaun of Mugu district.

Four members of a family were killed at the Chhayannath Rara Municipality-6, Mugu district. 

According to the District Police Office, Mugu, a team led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Surkhet Office of the Karnali Province along with a trained dog and three Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police has reached the crime spot for further investigation.

Birendera Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Mugu, said that the necessary measures are taken to avoid the escape of the defendant. 

He said that vigilance has been increased at possible points where those involved in the incident may escape.

DSP Thapa said that as soon as the information was received, a team with a trained dog in coordination with the provincial office reached the murder spot and the micro-investigation of the incident with the help of a dog is underway. 

According to the Police, the bodies of all four were found inside the house, however, one member Deep Bahadur Bohara was saved as he was in Qatar when the incident occurred. 

Eight months old Rahar Bohara, his mother 27-year-old Shreedevi Bohara, and daughters, 11-year-old Manhara Bohara and eight-year-old Apsara Bohara, were found dead inside the house.
