LWPF Celebrates Sustainability Partnerships by Planting trees

Kathmandu, Nepal, Oct 1: Lumbini World Peace Forum (LWPF) celebrated sustainability partnerships by planning trees in Tokha Municipality. 

According to press release of LWPF,  in collaboration with Tokha Municipality and Jyoti Bikas Bank, LWPF organized  "Tree Plantation Drive" on Ashwin 13th, 2080 B.S. (Saturday, September 30th, 2023) in Chandeshwari, Ward 2, Tokha Municipality, Kathmandu. 

This event is part of “1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Drive" aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness.

Partnering with Tokha Municipality, Ward 2, volunteers of Lumbini World Peace Forum planted 200 Bay Leaf plants (Tejpatta) in a designated public space allocated for park development. The plantation and conservation campaign initiative aligns with Lumbini World Peace Forum’s shared vision to enhance the greenery to combat climate change while actively contributing to a more sustainable future.

Jyoti Bikas Bank is one of the corporate sponsors of Lumbini World Peace Forum’s “1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Campaign” that’s been ongoing since 2019.
