Chance of light to moderate rain today

Kathmandu, Sept 21: Most of the parts of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki and Koshi provinces are experiencing normal rain with thunder, while there is partial rain in the rest of the country.    
Partly to normal showers will take place across the country this afternoon, Meteorologist Govind Jha said.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and few places in the remaining provinces later today.     
    
Currently, it has been raining especially in Ilam, Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari of Koshi province and Myagdi area of Gandaki province and Bardiya area of Lumbini province since last three hours, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.    

Later tonight, there will be partial to normal rainfall in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places in the rest of the country.    

 Meteorologist Jha said that there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in Kathmandu this afternoon. The maximum temperature in Kathmandu is likely to be between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, according to the Division. (RSS)
