Corruption case filed against former chairperson of School Management Committee

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept.19: The corruption case of Rs 190,000 has been filed against Purna Bahadur Kyapachhaki Magar, former chairperson of the management committee of Basic School located at Nanrange, Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality-7, Udayapur.

 According to Bhola Dahal, Spokesperson of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Magar took money from the school with all paperwork from the then principal and has not returned the money yet.  This comes under public embezzlement, and as per Section 17 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 (2002 AD), it is an offense. 

The commission said that a charge sheet has been filed in the Special Court Kathmandu on Tuesday with the demand of recovery of Rs 190,000.
