Three dead in separate road accidents in Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha

Kathmandu, Sept 16   : Three persons died in separate road accident occurred in Sindhupalchowk and Gorkha districts on Saturday, police confirmed.     

Two youths passed away after a petroleum goods carrying tanker (Na 8 Kha 376) hit a motorcycle (Ba Pra-02-031 Pa 5976) at Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality-9 in Sindhupalchowk.     

Critically injured motorcyclist Samir Tamang of Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality-1 and pillion rider Nabin Pandey of Melamchi Municipality-11 died while receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital, Information Officer of District Police Office, Sindhuplachowk, Sanjib Kumar Yadav said.     

It is said that Tamang and Pandey are the district-level leaders of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU).     

Police have nabbed tanker driver Bhim Bahadur Titung of Thaha Municipality-12, Makawanpur.     

Meanwhile, motorcyclist 27-year-old Ram Lal Kumal of Siranchowk Rural Municipality-4 in Gorkha district died after a public bus (Ga 1 Kha 9736) coming to the district headquarters from Bhachchek of Ajirkot hit the motorcycle from the opposite direction, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Gorkha Ramesh Kumar Shrestha said.     

Seriously injured after the accident, motorcyclist Kumal was rushed to Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur. (RSS)
