Officer of NPHL arrested with Rs 50,000 bribe

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 9: A medical lab technologist of the National Public Health Laboratory got arrested with a bribe of Rs 50,000.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Lekhanath Bhattarai, working as a Section officer (sixth level) in NPHL,  on Friday.

Bhola Dahal, spokesperson of the CIAA said that Officer Bhattarai was arrested with the Rs 50,000 bribe money.

Bhattarai asked bribe from a service receiver to facilitate the lab registration process.

A team of CIAA arrested Bhattarai from Sankhamul, Kathmandu-31, after receiving the information about bribery.
