Six injured in Khotang bus accident

By Raj Kumar Bhattarai, Khotang, Dec. 25: A bus heading towards Diktel of Khotang from Gaighat of Udaypur district met with an accident. 

District Police Office Khotang has said that six people have been injured when a bus with registration number Pradesh 1-05-001 Kha 0017 fell some five meters from the road at the Buipa of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality - 14. 

Police have said that the accident has taken place today morning at 10:40.

DSP Manjil Mukarung informed that the Injured were rescued by teams deployed from District Police Office and Buipa Police station. 

Injured were Birendra Ghimire, 29 and Dil Kumari Shrestha, 28, of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality -14,  Kushal Sarki, 20, of Rawabesi Rural Municipality -2 Kharpa, Aite Sarki, 73 and Susmita Dhungana, 27 of Dirumanapa-15 and Renuka Bhujel of Tuwachung Municipality -11.

Among them, Birendra Ghimire's condition is said to be critical. 

Passengers claimed that the conductor was driving the bus so the accident took place.

With the accident driver and conductor have been fleed.
