Raj Simkhada, Kalikot, Dec. 15: Raskot Municipality has left its vehicle stranded
on the road for over six months.
The government
vehicle with registration number Ba 1 Jha 6422 has been left unattended at Jhamla
bend along Surkhet Jumla road section in Khandachakra Municipality-2.
As the municipality
has failed to protect its asset, the glass of the vehicles is broken while many
of its parts are found to have been rotten or taken away.
The chief
of the municipality who assumed office after the local level election in May
had been using the vehicle before it broke down.
The vehicle
was left stranded on the road when it broke down at Jhamla bend while returning
from Surkhet.
The
municipality officials had earlier responded that it would repair the vehicle and
bring it to use after the news was published in the Gorkhapatra about the
negligence on the municipality’s part to take care of the old vehicles.
But, six
months have elapsed since the publication of the news and the municipality’s
commitment to repair the vehicle. However, the vehicle has been left stranded
still on the roadside at Jhamla bend along the Surkhet Jumla road section.
