Melamchi water pipe bursts at Lainchaur, disrupts Kathmandu's traffic

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 12: The Lainchaur area in Kathmandu got waterlogged today afternoon as the drinking water pipeline of the Melamchi project burst due to water pressure.

The pipeline of the Melamchi laid at the main road in front of the Banque Building burst which resulted in water logging.

Locals complained that the road was also damaged due to the breakage of the pipe.

The water logging created problems for pedestrians and disrupted the smooth flow of vehicles leading to traffic jams including in the adjacent areas.
