41 new cases; active caseload stands at 696

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 23: A total of 41 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 were confirmed on Sunday while 59 people recovered from COVID-19.

In 445 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 39 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Sunday.

Likewise, the virus infection was detected in two people in 805 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.

Currently, there are 696 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.

So far, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 12,018.
