Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 20: The department team of the Armed Police
Force (APF) has grabbed the gold medal in football both under men’s and women’s
categories.
The APF
team defeated the Tribhuvan Army Club by 6-5 in the final match held on
Thursday evening at the Pokhara Stadium where the 9th National Games
have been held.
The winner of the match was determined through
a tiebreaker as neither the team could defeat the other in the fixed as well as
added game period.
With the
conclusion of the football match, the closing ceremony of the National Games is
underway at the Pokhara Stadium.
Similarly,
the women’s football team of the APF also clinched the gold medal by defeating
the team of the Nepal Police Club by 2-1 in the final match held today itself at
the playground in Waling, Syangja.
