By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct 19: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Syed Haider Shah paid a farewell call on Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun today.
Ambassador Haider Shah thanked the Vice President for his audience
and expressed his gratitude for the Vice President’s continued support to the
Embassy of Pakistan throughout his tenure. He also recalled Vice President’s
attendance at Pakistan National and Independence Days Receptions in 2022 as
Chief Guest.
During the meeting, matters related to mutual interests between the
two countries were discussed. The Vice President appreciated Pakistan’s
generous support to Nepalese students for their education in the field of
medical and technical education in Pakistan. He also appreciated Ambassador
Shah’s active role and initiative in the provision of medical assistance to
Nepal during the COVID-19 pandemic, a press release of the Embassy of Pakistan
stated.
Ambassador Haider Shah also thanked the ice President for the
relief items sent by the Government of Nepal to Pakistan for flood affected and expressed extreme gratitude for this timely assistance.
The Vice President expressed his best wishes for the
outgoing Ambassador as well as his family and Pakistan Embassy’s endeavors in
the future.
At the end of the meeting, Vice President Pun presented the Ambassador with the traditional Nepali Ceremonial Scarf (Khada) and Dhaka Cap, according to the press release.
