46 new cases, 17 recoveries in last 24 hours

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 17: A total of 46 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 were confirmed on Monday while 17 people recovered from COVID-19.

In 1,183 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 40 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Monday.

Likewise, the virus infection was detected in six people in 1,104 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.

Currently, there are 711 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.

So far, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has reached 12,018.
