Nisha Chaudhary breaks national record in women's 100 meters

By Pramod Joshi, Pokhara, Oct. 15: Nisha Chaudhary broke the national record of women's 100 meters after 23 years at the 9th National Games being held in Gandaki Province.

Chaudhary of Lumbini province clocked 12:15 seconds to shatter the 12:19 seconds record of Devi Maya Paneru set during the 1999 South Asian Games held in Kathmandu. 

She broke the record in the heat round where 19 women sprinters were in a race to qualify for the final round.
