By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug 24: With 444 new cases (RT-PCR and
antigen combinedly) of COVID-19 confirmed on Thursday, while 307 have recovered
from the novel coronavirus.
In 1,996 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done
in the past 24 hours, a total of 211 people were found infected with
SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its
regular update on Wednesday. Likewise, the virus infection was
detected in 233 people in 2,958 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.
Currently, there are 4,199 active
cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 173 are admitted to institutional
isolation while 4,026 patients are placed in home isolation. Out of which 50 are
in ICU and two are on ventilator support.
Three fatality related to COVID-19 was
recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP. So far, Nepals' COVID-19
death toll has reached 11,998.
