Climate Change Is Not A Hoax

This part of the planet remains hotter in June and July because of the celestial position of the sun. Despite this unavoidable position of the earth, we have been facing an additional rise in temperature annually since the 18th century. It was the same period when the then superpower, the Great Britain, had launched the first Industrial Revolution. The British industrialists had started using energy sources randomly. They used coal, woods, and petroleum products excessively. 

Similarly, in the second Industrial Revolution which began in the 19th century, other nations such as Japan and the United States of America (USA) were involved in competition of production. They also used the same energy sources. On the overuse of coal, wood and fossil fuels, pioneer ecological activist and conservationist, Aldo Leopoid (1887-1948), warned of consequences too early, but neither the policy makers nor the governments listened to him. 

With a view to capture the world market, European and American states fought two World Wars, Iraq war, wars in Syria and Afghanistan. They are now fighting in Ukraine, and heating the earth. In the wars, they explode bombs and use harmful radiations which heat the atmosphere.  

A series of wars and reckless industrialisation drive are heating up the planet. And we, the innocent people, are bearing the brunt. So, since the very beginning, there has been myth that the god created the first category rulers in Europe and America who never listened to the plea of the states and the people of Asia. We go on reporting that the heatweaves hit people in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other nations every year. The rising temperature has turned once snow-caped mountains into black rocks. Global warming has melted the glaciers, leading to the burst of snow lakes. 

Similarly, the Pacific island nations are also on the verge of sinking because of the negligence on the part of the industrial economies. The uneven pattern of rain is bringing many types of problems to farmers, and the fear for dangerous Tsunamis has been increasing lately. But, the ruling classes of Europe and America neither listen to the appeal of Asian people nor the people of the Pacific islands, but went on saying that climate change is a ‘hoax’. 

The Western world neither heeds our voice nor reduces the use of coal and other fossil fuels. As said earlier, the people of this part of the planet have been facing scorching additional heat over past four centuries, but the forests of this part of the world do not catch fire due to sun's heat. 

Unlike our forests, the bushes, shrubs, seeds, tree barks, leaves and forests of Europe and America get flammable due to the sun light. As the forests in Europe and America began catching fire by the sun light, the Europeans and Americans have started accepting that the climate change is not a hoax but a scientifically proved fact, posing an existential crisis to the humanity.
