Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel has said that the ministry would hold discussions with concerned agencies of the state in regards to the professional and physical safety of journalists. At the Hem-Sunil Risky Television Journalism Award distribution ceremony organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Nepal Television chapter today, Minister Kharel expressed the commitment to discuss with concerned agencies, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, regarding the safety of journalists.

Rajbiraj (Saptari), Sept 23: Two girls drowned in a pond at Surunga municipality-2 in Saptari district today.The deceased have been identified as Sustika Chaudhary, a seven-year-old daughter of Surendra Chaudhary, and Ashaki Chaudhary, 11-year-old daughter of Keshar Chaudhary.Both the girls died after they drowned in the pond while bathing, shared Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Jitendra Kumar Basnet.Locals informed the police about the incident.
