The Department of Labour and Occupational Safety has issued a notice in the name of all concerned institutions not to supply labourers from the unlicensed labor supplier companies.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said Lumbini is the centre of faith of Buddhists as well as the epicentre of world peace tourism. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Second Lumbini International Peace and Meditation Festival on Friday, Minister Pandey said Lumbini is not only the centre of faith of the Buddhists but also the holy place of peace-loving citizens of the world.

Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav has said a feasibility study of reservoir-based large drinking water projects was underway for a long-term solution of drinking water. In Friday's meeting of the National Assembly, responding to a query of lawmaker Bhuwan Bahadur Sunar, Minister Yadav mentioned that the ministry has forwarded a feasibility study of reservoir-based large drinking water projects including managing drinking water through wholesale distribution system making diversion of Sunkoshi and Raptikhola rivers in order to resolve drinking water problems.
