Provide relief package to drought-hit farmers: NA Members
The National Assembly (NA) Members have drawn the attention of the government to address the issues of farmers caused due to the longstanding drought in Tarai-Madhesh and ensure provisions for timely supplies of fertilisers and seeds. In Sunday's NA meeting, the lawmakers asked the government to immediately announce relief packages to the affected farmers. The MPs also urged the government to develop resilient infrastructures for disaster risk reduction.

Dhorpatan receives 23,000 tourists in a year
The number of tourists visiting Dhorpatan, Nepal's only hunting reserve area, has been increasing annually. According to the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Office in Baglung, the number of internal tourists here rose by 8,000 in a year. Ranger Sagar Subedi of the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve Office said that 23,692 tourists visited Dhorpatan in the fiscal year 2081/082 while such a number was 15,573 in the previous fiscal year.

At least six people were killed and several others injured in a stampede at the Mansa Devi temple in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar on Sunday morning. “We dispatched our three teams to the site as soon as we received information about the stampede. They are currently engaged in relief and rescue operations,” State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) commandant Arpan Yaduvansi said.
