With only a day to go for the election to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly, suspicious objects have been found in three different places of the district. According to the District Police Office Chitwan, a suspicious item was found near the Eye Hospital in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 and in Astha Chowk of Ward No. 12.
Journalist NB (Nar Bahadur) Kandel of Rupandehi has died in a road accident. The accident took place on Friday evening. Kandel was riding a motorcycle (Lu. 44 Pa. 8201) from Butwal to Bhairahawa when a Readymix vehicle (Lu.1 Ka. 5276) hit him at Janakinagar in Tilottama Municipality-2.
Staffers have reached with election materials in all the polling stations in Bhojpur for the general elections taking place on Sunday. Chief Returning Officer of Bhojpur Mani Ram Neupane said the ballot boxes and other materials required for the election have been sent to the respective polling stations. A team of staff and security personnel have reached all 157 polling stations of the 87 polling centres in the district.
