Thankot-Chandragiri road upgradation: Additional Rs 60 million allocated
The government has allocated an additional Rs 60 million budget for the construction of the Thankot-Chandragiri road. The additional budget has been allocated for upgrading the road after getting criticism that the road, named Ganeshman Singh Highway, has been dilapidated due to lack of budget.

The contract of the road project has already been extended twice but the work is far from over said, Information Officer of Narayangadh-Butwal Road Extension Plan, Eastern Section, Engineer Shiv Khanal. Out of the total 114 km road from Narayangadh to Butwal, 65 km road falls in the eastern section.
Karnali government for intra-province air service
The province government is working with air service operators including the state-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation to operate domestic air flight services from the Surkhet Airport in the provincial capital Birendranagar to the airports in the mountain districts.
