Dr. Aayushnova to contest for Miss Intercontinental

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 20: Dr. Aayushnova Dhungana will represent Nepal at the international beauty pageant Miss Intercontinental, set to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from November 21. 

She will be flying to Egypt in a few days to participate in the competition, which features representatives from 55 countries.

Dr. Dhungana is Nepal’s sole representative in the event. 

She will wear a gown inspired by Nepal’s national flower, the rhododendron, incorporating the symbolism of a dove as a representation of peace in the competition. 

Expressing her pride in representing Nepal, Dr. Dhungana shared, “It’s an honour to represent Nepal at Miss Intercontinental. I am participating to bring the crown home.” 

She added, “I have prepared well for the competition and aim to return with Nepal’s name held high.”

 She hopes for the best wishes and support of all Nepalis for her success.

Dr. Dhungana has also prepared a video for the event, showcasing Nepal’s historical landmarks, temples, natural beauty, rivers, Nepali lifestyle, agriculture, and traditional attire, reflecting the country’s rich art and culture.

Dr. Dhungana, the winner of  Miss Intercontinental Nepal 2024, is also a model.

 Balancing her career as both an artist and a medical professional, she completed her MBBS from Bangladesh. Additionally, she earned 100 per cent credit in postgraduate courses on General Psychiatric Management, Psychoeducation, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression from Harvard Medical School, USA. 

She is currently pursuing a postgraduate credit course on Autism at the same institution.
