Shristi Khadka new Miss Pokhara

By Our Correspondent,Pokhara, Oct. 28: Shristi Khadka from Kajipokhari, Pokhara, has won the title of Miss Pokhara 2024. 

Along with the title, she received a scooter and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000. 

Winning the 11th edition of Miss Pokhara also provides her with the opportunity to represent Miss Nepal, along with various gift hampers.

Similarly, Rekha Gaire was awarded first runner-up and Jessica Bishwakarma Ghimire second runner-up.

 They received Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively, along with various gift hampers. 

Rekha also won the title of Best Intellectual while Jessica received awards for Best Dress and Best Catwalk.

Miss Pokhara has resumed after a six-year break under the management of Pokhara Jaycees. 

The pageant was first held in 1995 but has been halted since 2018.

 Pokhara Jaycees President Devraj Sharma said that the beauty pageant was resumed to bring out the inherent talents of young women. 

Selected contestants from across the country participated in a month-long training programme before the grand finale, he added.
