By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 9: Himal Kadariya has been in the film industry as a producer since 2019. Rato Galbandi, a film on Bhutanese refugees, was his debut film as a producer.

His latest movie 'Nango Gaun' became a box office hit in local theatres. Inspired by the success of his Nango Gaun, Kadariya recently announced his two new projects—'Gaun Nai Ramailo’ and 'Dukhi Aatma.'   Dinesh Raut and Dipendra Lama are going to direct them with Rauthandling  'Gaun Nai Ramailo,' and Lama 'Dukhi Aatma.'  Lama is also the writer of the latter film.

Kadariya said, “When I entered the Nepali film industry, it was highly a risky field as the country had not fully overcome the scars of earthquake and blockade. Investing millions even knowing that the returns would not be good, but because of my passion for films, I dared to jump into the risky venture.  Of course, investing in films was a gambling.”

His Nango Gaun was also directed by Lama in 2023. “This film has given me recognition, value, and identity in the Nepali film industry,” he said.

Kadariya gives credit to his dedication, hard work and investment of experience for the success of his films.

According to Kadariya, Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Miruna Magar, and others have signed for 'Gaun Nai Ramailo'.

“'Gaun Nai Ramailo' is an Organic Nepali story of the struggle of young men. The screenplay for this film has already been written. If everything goes as planned, the shooting will begin in June and the film will be screened during the Dashain festival,” he added.

'Dukhi Aatma', according to Kadariya, is a pure comedy and the scriptwriting work for this film is currently in the final stages.

He has a plan to begin its shooting in April but he has not finalised its release date. However, he is hopeful of creating excellent films, even better than 'Nango Gaun'.
