Actor Anmol KC admitted in hospital under police custody

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct.1: Actor Anmol KC got arrested Friday under financial misconduct from Bhaktapur. KC, who had to stay in police custody as the court would only open on Sunday, was, however, hospitalised after he showed health issues.

According to the Kathmandu District Police Office (KDPO), KC was admitted to Chirayu Hospital at around 11:30 pm on Friday after he said he had pain in his chest causing difficulty 

in breathing. Police had sought an arrest warrant against KC following a complaint that he took Rs. 1 million in advance to act in the movie 'Ravayana', but neither signed the contract nor appeared for the shooting of the movie. 

While KC is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, he is still under custody and kept under surveillance by police. The KDPO informed that KC will be presented before the court after it opens on Sunday, October 1, to demand further judicial custody for necessary investigation. 

Meanwhile, it also seems that a legal complaint against KC was in sight. Six days ago, KC, through his Facebook page, had requested his followers to not believe in his association with any project until he revealed it himself.

"I keep myself aware to not be a pawn to anyone's self-interest while accepting a project. So, even if it takes a long time, I will not hurry for a movie until I am satisfied completely with the script. My only focus is on how to make the project better, and I will not be affected by anyone's pressure," read his Facebook post.
