Miss Nepal welcomed in home with fanfare

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, June 21:  Priyanka Rani Joshi, winner of Miss Nepal World 2022, has been welcomed at her ancestral home on Monday with fanfare.  

She has been staying at Radisson Hotel in Lazimpat for the past few days.

Before entering the house, Priyanka, who was flying the national flag in a white car, was greeted by the ward chairperson of Ward No 29  of Kathmandu Metropolitan City with shawl. Nepali traditional musical band was played in honour of the beauty queen.

After that, in a brief conversation with the media, Priyanka thanked everyone who voted for her to win the crown of Miss Nepal.

She also said that in the coming days, she will perform the duties of Miss Nepal efficiently. “I will spare no effort to make our country known internationally," she said. 

"Now, I am preparing for Miss World and I will try my best to bring the coveted crown  home,” she added.
