Cabinet Decisions: Govt. to form technical committee to classify injured persons of Gen-Z protestsKathmandu, Sept 29: The government has decided to form a technical committee to classify the injured persons of the Gen-Z protests that happened on September 8 and 9. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to provide rightful compensation to the injured ones after their classification from the technical committee, the government's Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel said. Likewise, the cabinet meeting has decided to run the Gen-Z Clinics to provide treatment and follow-up health care services for free to the people injured during the Gen-Z protests. Such clinics would be run in certain hospitals under the Ministry of Health and Population, which would facilitate the identification of the injured persons and their effective treatment facilities. This act would be undertaken based on the identity cards being issued by the Home Ministry, it is said. The Health Ministry would arrange a hotline number and the focal persons to facilitate the treatment of the injured people and their follow-up, Spokesperson Kharel shared. The cabinet also approved the alignment of the Muglin-Anbukhairani road section of the Muglin-Pokhara road, which will be 15 metres towards the left and equal distance towards the right from the centre of the road.Similarly, the cabinet meeting approved the visit of Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising for his participation to the Eight Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly to take place on October 27-30 in New Delhi of India.
