Preservation and promotion of tourist sites in Bhojpur
Bhojpur, May 20: The tourist sites in Bhojpur district including the Kailash Parbat and Harit Hill have been promoted and preserved with a purpose to develop the hills as the key tourist attractions. The hills at Sikretar in Arun Rural Municipality-7 in the district have received good number of domestic tourists in the recent times. Ward Chairman of Arun Rural Municipality-7 Kumar Thapa said they are working to develop these hills and promote them as the major tourist destinations. He shared that trekking routes and other infrastructures are being constructed to facilitate the tourists' journey there. For the bid, the province government has also extended its support, Chairman Thapa stated. He further said that plans are afoot to develop the sites as an integrated tourist hub by including Kailash Parbat, Harit Hill, Gaurishankar Mandir and Singhadevi Mandir. The local residents have also praised the efforts of the local government and have hoped to get more and more internal and international tourists. (RSS)
Two women die after falling from cliff in Tanahun
Information Officer at the District Police Office, Tanahun, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa, said that the deceased have been identified as Shree Maya Rana, aged 62, of Rishing Rural Municipality -3, and Khimsara Magar, aged 26, of Devghat Rural Municipality-2.
