Preparation for Three Nations Cup completes

By Our Correspondent, Kathmandu, Mar. 19: Nepal’s football governing body All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) informed that preparations for the Three Nations Cup 2021 have almost completed. ANFA spokesperson Kiran Rai said that the preparations for the upcoming Three Nations International Football Tournament had almost completed.

According to Rai, the estimated budget of the tournament is Rs. 10 million and they had a target of collecting Rs.10.5 million from the tournament. The winner team of the tournament will receive USD 5,000 while the second spot will bag USD 3,000 and the most valuable player of the tournament will receive USD 500.

ANFA also informed that a 40-member team from Bangladesh arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday while Kyrgystan Olympic team will arrive on March 21. Nepal’s national football team will take on Kyrgystan Olympic Team in the opener of Three Nations Cup 2021 International Football Tournament which is scheduled to be held at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu from March 23.

Altogether three teams-- Nepal, Kyrgystan Olympic Team and Bangladesh--will participate in the tournament. Bangladesh will encounter Kyrgystan Olympic Team in the inaugural match of the day on March 23 at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu. Similarly, Nepal will meet Bangladesh in their second match of the tournament on March 27. The tournament will be conducted under round robin system and the top two teams from the will advance for the title clash.
