National U-23 Football team announced for upcoming South Asian Games

Kathmandu, Nov 11: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday has announced the final squad National U-23 Football team for the upcoming South Asian Games (SAG) which is scheduled to be held from 1st December to 10th December in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
Nepal national U-23 team head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan has announced the final 20-member team for the mega sporting event. Coach Maharjan added three players from the senior national team including goalie Bikesh Kuthu, defender Bikram Lama and winger Sujal Shrestha in the final squad for the SAG.
The three players Kuthu, Lama and Shrestha were the experienced players who had already participated in the 12th edition of the SAG which was held at Guwahati, India in 2016.
Nepal national U-23 football team had won the gold medal in the last edition of the SAG.
The senior player goalie Kiran Chemjong, mid-fielder Rohit Chand and Nawayug Shrestha has out from the final squad. All three were in the close-camp of the SAG.
ANFA had included their three senior players in the U-23 squad as the rule and regulation of the South Asian Olympic Council (SAOC).
The final 20-member squad for the SAG are:
Goalkeepers: Bikesh Kuthu, Arpan Karki and Deep Karki
Defenders: Anant Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Bikash Khawas, Suman Aryal and Chhiring Sherpa
Mid-fielder: Bikram Lama, Michen Tamang, Sujal Shrestha, Sunil Bal, Tej Tamang, Sesehang Angdembo, Hemant Thapa Magar and Nitin Thapa
Forward: Bimal Gharti Magar, Rejin Subba, Abhishek Rijal and Anjan Bista.
