Kathmandu, Jan 8: Three Star defeated Brigade Boys 3-1 in today's first match held under ongoing Martyrs' Memorial A-Division League at Tripureshwor-based Dashrath Stadium.
Sushant Shrestha, Anant Tamang and foreign player Wasiu Oladiran Hazmat contributed a goal each for Three Star's victory. It was Sushant who took the team to a lead with his first goal in the 15th minute of match and the second goal came from Ananta in the 41st minute followed by Oladiran hitting the goal post in the 58th minute.
Brigade Boy's Roshan Rana Magar scored a consolation goal for his team in the 89th minute. With this victory, Three Star has climbed to the third position with the collection of 10 points from five matches.
Brigade Boy's Deepak Raj Singh had to leave the ground as he was given red card in the 66th minute. The team had to perform with 10 players thereafter. He was given the red card for tripping Three Star's Ashok Khawas through a tackle.
