By A Staff Reporter , Kathmandu, Apr. 7 : Help Nepal Club cruised into the final of the 5th RBB NVA National Club League Volleyball after stunning Tribhuvan Army Club in the men's category at National Sports Council (NSC) Covered-Hall, Tirpureshwor, Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Indian players dominated Help Nepal Club registered a 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16 comfortable victory over the Tribhuvan Army Club in a straight-set.
Help Nepal entered a final of the Club league volleyball with one match in a hand. Remaining unbeaten at the league, Help Nepal Club is at the summit of the league standings with 15 points from five matches they played.
In the other match, Nepal Police Club beat APF in a seesaw battle. Police claimed the first two sets by 25-21, 25-23 but gave away two successive sets to APF by 20-25 and 17-25. However, Police claimed the deciding set by 15-13 to add two points. Police have nine points from five matches while APF made 10 points.
Similarly, New Diamond Club defeated Nepal Police Club to climb atop of the women's standings.
New Diamond eased past Police in a straight-set of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-16. The victory elevated New Diamond to the top with 10 points. Though APF also have equal 10 points, New Diamond bettered in set difference.
APF beat Bharatpur Metro Club 25-16, 25-7 and 25-9 in a one-sided affair. APF claimed 10 points from four matches.
Tribhuvan Army and Nepal Police Club trailed at third and fourth position with eight points. Bharatpur are with three points and Dhorpatan are winless till now.
