By A Staff Reporter , Kathmandu, Apr. 7 : APF Club trounced Lalitpur Mayor's XI by 10 wickets to claim their third win in a row while Sudur Paschim registered a 40-runs win over Province No. 1 during the Lalitpur Mayor Women's Championship held at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Tuesday.
The opening pair of Rajmati Airee and Indu Barma easily guided APF to achieve the 67-run victory target posted by host Lalitpur Mayor XI on the first match of the day.
APF moved to the final as they maintained their top spot with six points. Host Lalitpur are with two points from three games.
Airee smashed four boundaries to fire 31-ball 33 runs whereas Barma hit three fours to collect 24-ball 28.
Santoshi Chaudhary conceded 24 runs off her two-over spell while Asmina Karmacharya (16) and Saraswati Kumari (18) were the other expensive bowlers for the host.
Earlier, Binu Budha hauled four wickets to rip off the batting of Lalitpur in a low score. Rekha Rawal also had two wickets whereas Suman Bista and Karuna Bhandari picked one wicket apiece for APF.
Kanchan Shrestha (30-ball 17), Captain Saraswati (22-ball 12) and Santoshi Chaudhary (not out 19-ball 13) were the batswomen to chip in double-figure for Lalitpur.
In the second match, Sudur Paschim Province batted first to add 129/4 runs. In reply, Province No. 1 were bundled out for 89runs in 18.5 overs.
Captain Rubina Chhetri, who smashed half to on Monday, mustered 27 runs off 20 balls against Sudur Paschim today. Her batting included five boundaries. Apsari Begam (22), Sangita Rai (13) and Ngima Tamang (10) were the other two-digit scorers for Province No. 1.
Laxmi Saud was the pick of the bowler as she claimed a hat trick in her four wickets haul. Kabita Joshi and Kabita Kunwar scalped two wickets each to restrict Province No. 1.
Earlier, Bindu Rawal scored highest with a half-century knock of 58-ball 52. Opener Rewati Dhami chipped in with 32-ball 30 and Kabita Joshi added 24-ball 21 for Sudur Paschim.
Sabnam Rai dismissed two batswomen and Jyoti Danwar claimed one wicket of Sudurpaschim.
