By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 22: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today held a discussion with the officials of the Election Commission regarding the upcoming election.
CPN-UML Chief Whip Vishal Bhattarai said that the Prime Minister had discussions with the Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission and all the officials at the meeting.
On Friday, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari rejected the claim of the Prime Minister with the signatures of 153 parliamentarians and opposition party Nepali Congress with the signatures of 149 parliamentarians for the appointment of new PM.
By dissolving the current House of Representatives (HoR) the first round of elections to the next HoR was slated for November 12 and the second round on November 19.
Bhattarai said that today PM Oli met the EC officials and discussed regarding the fair and fraud-free elections at the Election Commission.
