CPN-UML task force meet kicks off, members to sign consensus document today

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 11: The meeting of the task force formed to resolve the internal dispute of CPN-UML has kicked off at Singha Durbar.

The CPN-UML leaders have said that the task force members are preparing to sign the finalised consensus document of party unity in the meeting today.

Bhuwan KC, press advisor to the Prime Minister, informed that the meeting had begun at 9:30 in the morning.

Meanwhile, the CPN-UML has prepared to call the Standing Committee meeting for today afternoon after the task force members sign the consensus document, informed Sher Bahadur Tamang, secretary at the CPN-UML party office.

"Briefing about the agreement made by the task force will be done and the final consensus document for establishing party unity will be passed in the Standing Committee meeting," said Tamang.

The 10-member task force has been holding meetings continuously since last Monday. Leaders Subas Chandra Nembang, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Pradeep Gyawali, Shankar Pokharel, and Bishnu Rimal are representing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the task force while leaders Bhim Bahadur Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Gokarna Bista, Surendra Pandey, and Raghuji Panta are representing Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction.
