By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 11: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday confirmed 22 COVID-19 related deaths.
A total of 22 people, five females and 17 males, succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, revealed the daily report released by the MoHP today.
A 62-year-old female and a 65-year-old male of Sunsari, a 61-year-old female of Dhankuta, a 77-year-old male of Nuwakot, a 38-year-old male of Sarlahi, a 75-year-old female and three males aged 47, 98 and one whose age has not been ascertained of Chitwan, an 85-year-old female of Makwanpur, a 63-year-old male of Sindhupalchowk and three males aged 60, 61 and 84 of Rupandehi, who were infected with the novel coronavirus, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.
Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley reported eight COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours. A 66-year-old female and four males aged 60, 70, 75 and 83 of Kathmandu, a 49-year-old male of Lalitpur and two males aged 44 and 57 of Bhaktapur died under treatment.
With this, Nepal's COVID-19 death toll has spiked to 636 and the death rate is at 0.59 per cent.
