'New law in offing to regulate foreign university affiliated campuses'

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 24: Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has said that the government is introducing a new regulation to regulate campuses affiliated with foreign universities.

Speaking at a programme on Sunday, the Education Minister informed about new law to monitor foreign university affiliated campuses as many complaints were being received regarding such colleges.

The draft of the regulation has been sent to the finance and the law ministries for feedback. Once these ministries approve it with their views, the draft will be presented at the Cabinet for approval, said the Minister.

Minister Pokharel viewed that effective regulation of the foreign university affiliated colleges is lacking.
