By Our Correspondent, Bara, Apr 3: A teenager drowned in the Bakaiya river of Bara on Thursday.
According to Area Police Office, Nijgadh, the deceased have been identified as 19-year-old Sabin Sahani, a resident of Ward 9 of Nijgadh Municipality.
“Sahani had gone for swimming in the Bakaiya river nearby Ganeshman Park along with his friends where he drowned,” said Inspector Bikash Thapaliya, in-charge of Nijgadh police office.
At around 3pm on Thursday, Sahani had reached the river with around 10 other friends.
Sahani's body has been sent for post mortem at Chandranigahpur Hospital in Rautahat.
Police have also said to be investigating into the death further.
