Taplejung, May 17 : CPN (UML) leader and member of the House of Representatives, Yogesh Bhattarai has urged the local level in his home town, Taplejung, to play an active role in preventing and control of the second wave of Covid-19.
In a virtual meeting with the stakeholders of the district on the prevention and control of the infection, he stressed the need for creating awareness against the virus from setting up isolation facility by reaching people at their doorsteps.
It could be effective when awareness campaign against the infection involving health workers is launched at people’s home, he viewed.
To deal with increasing patients in such difficult condition, hospitals should coordinate with health workers and employees at local level, he suggested.
The former minister pledged to the coordination between the provincial and central government for setting up isolation facility, the prompt test for the virus and management of health equipment to prevent and control the infection.
