Bhaktapur, Oct 28 : Main opposition, CPN-UML, has faced tough time in picking new leadership in all four municipalities of Bhaktapur district due to higher number of aspirants in different posts.
The first municipal convention of the CPN-UML was inaugurated in Bhaktapur, Madhyapurthimi, Suryabinayak and Changunarayan municipal committees on Tuesday. However, the closed door sessions that started since Wednesday had not yielded concrete results in choosing leadership as of 6.00 pm same day.
UML Bhaktapur Chair Bachan Deuwa shared that the closed door sessions did not take place in Bhaktapur and Madhyapurthimi municipalities on Wednesday. The closed door sessions are set to take place today, he further shared.
Efforts are being made to pick a leadership on consent basis in Changunarayan and Suryabinayak municipalities, he informed.
