By Muna Hamal, Surkhet, Mar. 4: At least three people died while four others got seriously injured when a jeep skidded off the road this morning at Raute Galchena of Birendranagar Municipality-15 of Surkhet district.
The jeep with registration number ‘Karnali State 02001 Ja 0007’ was heading towards Birendranagar from Dharampokhara of Dailkeh district.
The police stated that three persons died on the spot and four others were seriously injured in the accident. The injured people were sent to Birendranagar for treatment.
“The ill-fated jeep, with seven people on board, had skidded off the road and fallen 400 meters down,” informed Rabi Rawal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Surkhet.
Rawal further informed that the deceased were yet to be identified.
