Taplejung, Jan 22: Taplejung District Hospital has started producing oxygen in a commercial manner.
The oxygen plant installed at the District Hospital on first week of November 2021 has started producing oxygen in a commercial manner, said plant operator and biometric technical chief at the Hospital, Saroj Chaudhary.
Chaurdhary shared that the plant started producing oxygen up to 20 cylinders every day.
According to the District Hospital, oxygen produced in the hospital is being exported to different hospitals and health posts of the district.
The hospital has determined Rs 500 to fill a cylinder of 5 to 15 litres, RS 1,000 for 15 to 35 litres cylinder and Rs 1,500 for 35 to 65 litres, Chaudhary added.
The federal government had allocated Rs 7.15 million budget to install the oxygen plant at the hospital. The hospital has now kept 118 small and big cylinders in ready-to-use condition, according to hospital.
