He said so while virtually inaugurating the Local Level convention of the party across the country.

He said so while virtually inaugurating the Local Level convention of the party across the country.

"We all should adopt the directives of the central committee for consolidating the success gained through class struggle, and developing and refining thoughts within the party," said Prachanda, adding, "Central leadership should keep itself ready for revolutionary transformation, and we have been working on it.

He viewed that the socialist revolution was still needed and that his party was developing a model of socialism in the 21st century.

Chairman Prachanda said that his party was formulating a work plan for upcoming days keeping in view the international practices and history of Nepal.

"The Maoists have no excuse to be inactive and we all have to safeguard the revolutionary legacy," he said, "We must check reactionary plots owning the changes as results of our struggle".

He said that the number of people who renewed their membership of CPN (Maoist Center) has reached 800,000 and that the number will amount to a million if the party members worked a little harder.

Former Prime Minister Prachanda urged the party members to elect the committees of the Local Level through consensus as far as possible and opt for election as per the processes.

The CPN (Maoist Center) is holding conventions of the Local Level/Palika across the country today.
