Police seize 19 loaded guns

Kathmandu, Nov. 29: Police have seized 19 loaded guns from Baglung, Nuwakot and Doti districts on Thursday.
Police said that eight loaded guns were recovered from a forest of Tarakhola Rural Municipality-5 in Balgung district and nine other from the forest of Harpukhola Tole of the same district, according to a press statement issued by Nepal Police Headquarters on Friday.
According to Baglung Police, a search team recovered the weapons Thursday morning.
A police team deployed from the Galkot Area Police Office found the guns. Police said that they were investigating why and who had kept the guns in the forest.
Similarly, police recovered a loaded firearm from Nagbu Dhabu Community Forest in Basunchet of Meghang Rural Municipality-1, Nuwakot Thursday evening. Police deployed from the Kimtang police post recovered the weapon.
Similarly, Pradip Thapa Magar, 25, of Jarimghat in Jorayal Rural Municipality-6 and Mahesh Thapa Magar, 27, of Simle of Doti district were arrested on Thursday.
A 15-year-old girl was abducted by Pradip on Wednesday night while she was visiting a fair in Badikedar Rural Municipality-1, Aladi.
They were arrested along with the weapons, said police.
Meanwhile, police have arrested two persons from Rupatar of Tapli Rural Municipality-5 in Udayapur district on the charge of being involved in the blast at the civil help desk of the Rural Municipality office.
The arrested included Ritu BK, 37, of Tapli Rural Municipality-1, and Gaur Bahadur Devkota, 67, of Gahte.
Police from the District Police Office, Udayapur, arrested them while investigating into the incident in which an explosive device was found at the entrance of the office last Sunday.
Police said that they had taken the arrested person into custody and an investigation into them was underway.
