Banepa, Nov 27: Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said that his party is committed to the development of the hilly region of Kavrepalanchok.

Stating that Rs. 500 million has already been allocated for the construction of paved road from the district headquarters to the village centres, he said that the initiative would be taken to complete the work.

Addressing over-the-phone the first municipal conference of the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center Mahabharat Rural Municipality Committee held on Friday, he said that he was engaged in the campaign to expand his party and form a new revolutionary party.    

As the process for the Kokhajor River Hydropower Project is moving forward, necessary assistance will be provided for it and the road connecting Phaparbari to Makawanpur through Ghartichhap from Pinthali will be upgraded, said Dahal.   

The former PM said that he was involved in the campaign to hold a national level conference through wards, municipalities and provinces starting from the tole across the country.    

On the occasion, Federal MP Ganga Bahadur Tamang and Bagmati Provincial Assembly member Ratna Dhakal also promised development of the remote hills of the district.

Maoist Chair Prachanda had addressed from Kathmandu via phone after he could not travel to reach there due to bad weather.
