By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Myagdi, July 30: A person has died while eight others have been injured in a jeep accident at Dharapani in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-7 of Myagdi district.
The injured have been undergoing treatment at Darbang primary health post and that their condition is said to be normal.
A police team dispatched from Area Police Office, Darbang, and locals had rescued the injured and taken them to the health post.
Shyam Kumar Rai, deputy superintendent of police in the district police office, said that the jeep veered off the road and got stuck at a Sal tree which saved the jeep from slipping further down the hill. Bikash Sunar, 27, of Takam in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-7 died on the spot as he fell off the jeep.
The jeep with registration no. Ga 1 Ja 6905 was heading to Beni from Takam of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-7.
