Kathmandu, Dec. 11: The office-bearers meeting of Nepali Congress on Wednesday discussed about agendas for its scheduled Tuesday’s Central Working Committee meeting.
NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma informed that the meeting dwelt about the agendas and tries to forge consensus.
The NC has called its CWC meeting to take necessary decision about formation of party’s Departments, nominate leadership of two key-Nepal Student Union and Nepal Tarun Dal- sister organisations and contemporary political development.
Earlier, party president Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel held separate factional meeting and discussed about formation of the party’s Departments and sister organisations.
Deuba held discussion with vice presidents Bimalendra Nidhi and Bijaya Kumar Gachhadhar, general secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma, leader Bal Krishna Khand, Ramesh Lekhak and others at his residence Budhanilkantha.
Another side Paudel faction held meeting at party general secretary Dr. Shashanka Koirala’s residence Maharajgunj, where Paudel, Koirala, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat, Arjun Nursing KC, Dilendra Badu, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, Chandra Bhandari, Pradeep Paudel and others were attended.
Deuba was pressing for formation of party departments and ad-hoc committee of sister organisation such as the Nepal Student Union and Nepal Tarun Dal. He tried to take powerful Departments such as Organisation, Foreign Affairs, Public relations, Publicity with majority.
But Paudel faction opposed the idea and asked for provide major Departments as well as leadership of any one sister organisation.
After meeting leader Chandra Bhandari said if Deuba tries to forward his unilateral proposal, Paudel faction protest against it.
