Kathmandu, Oct 13 : Staying for 122 days since the onset of monsoon on June 11, all active phenomena causing rains has come to a formal end from Monday afternoon.
“Monsoon recedes from all parts of the country from Monday being late for nine days than the average time to recede,” Meteorologist Manju Basi at the Meteorological Forecasting Division said Tuesday.
“The monsoon, which has begun to recede from last Friday from Sudurpaschim, Karnali and the western part of Lumbini Province, completely receded from all the regions from Monday,” she said.
The normal date for receding monsoon from Nepal is October 2. This year, monsoon began from June 11, two days earlier than the normal day.
