Kathmandu, Sept. 29: Police have arrested Lahan-based Agricultural Development Bank’s officer Sunil Kumar Jha after police found that his user name and passwords were misused while drawing Rs. 47.39 million rupees by hackers.
Agricultural Development Bank has also suspended Jha from the job for an indefinite period.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shahakul Thapa said that during the police investigation, Jha’s user name and password were found misused for transferring the money to 22 people having ADBL’s account numbers from Lahan branch office.
Police have seized the computer used by Jha for further investigation, SSP Thapa said. Police in the case had so far arrested 16 persons including Jha within a week of the incident.
